Privacy Policy
Last updated: October 14, 2026
This Privacy Policy explains how Shed Select ("Shed Select," "we," "us") collects, uses, shares and protects information when you visit shedselect.com, create an account, or use our social media, ads, leads CRM, review and AI marketing services (the "Services"). If you have questions, contact us at support@shedselect.com or (936) 238-0102.
1. Who this applies to
This policy covers (a) visitors to our website, (b) our customers and their team members ("Clients"), and (c) people whose information our Clients bring into Shed Select, such as leads, customers and reviewers ("End Contacts"). For End Contact data, the Client decides why and how it is used and Shed Select processes it on the Client's behalf.
2. Information we collect
Information you give us
- Account details: name, email, phone, business name, password (stored hashed) and preferences.
- Brand Profile and content: brand voice, descriptions, images, posts, ads, landing pages and messages you create or upload.
- Communications: messages to support, call bookings and contact-form submissions.
Information from connected services (only when you connect them)
- Social and ad accounts (via Zernio). When you connect Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, TikTok, X, YouTube, Threads, Pinterest, Google Business Profile or ad accounts, we use our provider Zernio to securely connect them through each platform's official login. We receive the data needed to run the Services: page and account names and IDs, posts and their analytics, comments and direct messages, lead-form submissions, reviews, ad accounts, campaigns, spend and results.
- Meta (Facebook and Instagram). We access Page, Instagram, Messenger, lead-ad and ads data only with the permissions you grant, to publish your content, show your inbox and leads, reply when you ask us to, and manage your ads.
- Google. If you sign in with Google we receive your name, email and profile picture. If you connect Gmail, we use the gmail.send and gmail.readonly scopes to send lead follow-ups and review requests from your address and to detect replies from your leads. If you connect Google Business Profile we read your reviews and post replies you approve.
- Microsoft. If you connect Outlook or Microsoft 365, we use Mail.Send and Mail.Read to send emails from your address and detect replies from your leads.
- Other mailboxes (IMAP/SMTP). If you connect a mailbox with an app password, we store those credentials encrypted and use them only to send and check for lead replies.
Information about End Contacts
Leads CRM data such as names, phone numbers, emails, social handles, messages, form answers, sale amounts and notes; and reviewer names, ratings and review text from Google Business Profile.
Information collected automatically
Log and device data (IP address, browser, pages viewed, referring URL), and cookies as described below.
Payment information
Payments are processed by Stripe. We do not store full card numbers; we receive limited details such as card brand, last four digits, billing email and subscription status.
3. How we use information
- Provide the Services: publish and schedule posts, run ads, show analytics, collect and follow up with leads, manage reviews and send emails you ask us to send.
- Generate AI content (posts, ads, replies, images) at your request.
- Send account, billing, security and service messages, lead and review alerts, and the weekly results email (you can opt out).
- Provide support, prevent fraud and abuse, keep the Services secure, and comply with law.
- Improve the Services using aggregated or de-identified information.
We do not sell personal information, and we do not use data from connected Meta, Google or Microsoft accounts for advertising or to build profiles for unrelated purposes.
4. Google API Services User Data Policy (Limited Use)
Shed Select's use and transfer to any other app of information received from Google APIs will adhere to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements. Specifically, Gmail data is used only to provide and improve the user-facing features you turn on (sending your emails and detecting lead replies); it is not used for advertising, not sold, not transferred to third parties except as needed to provide those features, comply with law or as part of a merger or acquisition with notice, and not read by humans except with your permission, for security purposes, or to comply with law. Gmail data is never used to train generalized AI models.
5. AI processing
When you use AI features, the relevant text (for example your Brand Profile and the topic, review or lead message) is sent to OpenAI to generate a response. Under OpenAI's API terms, data sent through the API is not used to train OpenAI's models by default. Review AI output before you publish or send it.
6. How we share information
- Service providers that process data for us under contract: Zernio (social, ads, inbox and reviews connections), Stripe (payments), OpenAI (AI generation), our hosting and email delivery providers.
- The platforms you connect, when you publish, reply, run ads or send email through them.
- Our team, for Done For You Clients and support, on a need-to-know basis.
- Legal and safety, when required by law or to protect rights, safety and security.
- Business transfers, such as a merger or sale, with notice where required.
7. Cookies
We use essential cookies to keep you signed in and protect forms (session and security cookies). With your consent we may use analytics cookies (such as Google Analytics) to understand how the site is used. You can control cookies in your browser and through our cookie banner.
8. Data retention
We keep account data while your account is active. Leads and messages are kept until you or the Client delete them or close the account; some lead data is purged automatically after a period of inactivity. After account closure we delete or de-identify personal data within 30 days, except where we must keep it for legal, tax, billing or security reasons.
9. Security
We use encryption in transit (HTTPS), encrypt mailbox credentials and tokens at rest, restrict access to staff who need it, and connect platforms through official OAuth logins. No system is perfectly secure; please use a strong password and tell us right away about any suspected misuse.
10. Your choices and rights
- Access, correct, export or delete your data from your account or by emailing support@shedselect.com.
- Disconnect any social account, ad account or mailbox at any time from your dashboard, and revoke access from the platform's own settings (Facebook Business Integrations, Google Account permissions, Microsoft account apps).
- Opt out of marketing and the weekly results email using the unsubscribe link.
- Depending on where you live (for example Texas, California or other U.S. states), you may have additional rights such as to know, delete, correct or opt out. We will not discriminate against you for using them. We respond within the time required by law.
To delete your data, including data we received from Facebook, Instagram or Google, follow our Data Deletion Instructions.
11. End Contacts
If you are a lead, customer or reviewer of one of our Clients and want to access or delete your information, please contact that business directly. You can also email us and we will forward your request to the Client.
12. Children
The Services are for businesses and are not directed to children under 13 (or under 16 where applicable). We do not knowingly collect their personal information.
13. International users
Shed Select is operated in the United States and data is processed in the United States.
14. Changes
We may update this policy. We will post the new version here with a new "Last updated" date and, for material changes, notify Clients by email or in the dashboard.
